Complacency is a disease. It creeps into everything and distorts the perception of those that enter its embrace.
It stops us from being great and causes us to seek out a life far less than amazing for the sake of temporary pleasure.
Our purpose sets our priority and our priority determines the productivity our actions produce. – Gary Keller
We have all these dreams and goals that we revel in the cozy, warm and exciting feeling they give but run away from the work that will get us there.
What we set our priority on usually ends up dictating the direction of our lives.
Feeling tired when it comes to working on your goal may be a result that you may be more in love with the concept of the idea than the actual reality that it could be.
Resistance is critical
The more you allow yourself to believe that you can’t, that the odds are against you, or that you don’t have time, you’re allowing doubt to win.
To resist the illusion that doubt creates you must know what it is you stand for.
Do you even know why you want to achieve that goal? Are you doing it simply because that’s what everyone else is doing?
If you are unaware of what it is you stand for, then you will be comfortable with anything.
Doubt will hit you from every angle, creating distractions and cause you to question just about everything.
The key is to be prepared and actively guarding the avenues to your creativity and soul.
You have to be courageous in cutting off anything that doesn’t make you better, anything that manipulates it’s way into your life under false pretenses.
Holding on to negativity is like packing a bag with bricks and trying to run up a mountain.
Not everyone has your best interest at heart and it may not always be easy to identify these people initially.
Resist the negativity and those that seek to manipulate you for their own agendas.
Your choice, your story
When it’s all said and done, it’s up to you.
As the classic saying goes, one can lead a horse to the water but can’t make the horse drink.
Your life will continuously move forward on the line of time. It won’t wait for you or anyone else.
Your story can be one that inspires and creates more good or be one that is part of the pollution of wanting to be comfortable with fleeting entertainment.
